The AD level are extremely busy key members of this business with many varied parts to their roles. With a limited number of more senior roles for them available in the business, keeping them motivated and sticky to the business was extremely important.

One aspect of this programme had to be developing them so they were ready when such roles came up as well as showing them that they are important to the business through this investment in them personally.

the intervention

A tailor-made programme built on our unique Less Friction, More FlowSM methodology, a proven organisational experience approach that uses tried and tested strategies to oil cogs, solve frictions, and help get people into flow. Consisting of five workshops, the modular programme, delivered over 8 months, included a launch, 1-1 coaching sessions, group coaching forums and an action learning session to reinforce the learnings, and a graduation at the end of the programme.

The programme also used an internally managed ‘credits’ system to help them to be exposed to a particular set of experiences to be promotion ready.

The client has reported greatly improved levels of motivation, with leaders performing better with both teams and clients. There has been a greater level of retaining staff (82%) and also a growth in the graduates being internally promoted (41%).  As at February 2024, we have successfully delivered this programme to cohorts every year since 2017.
